Our Disney Vacation: Part 1

It has been a while since we have taken a vacation so this Disney trip was special.  It was Sophie's first vacation and our longest road trip as a family.  We packed our bags, cooler and princess dresses and took off Friday night.

The only real plans we had were Disneyland for 2 days and Sea World for a day.  Everything else was up in the air.  We spent a couple of nights at my parents' house and left Sunday morning (the one before Memorial Day).  We visited the cemetery where Tom's grandparents were buried in Delta and drove by their old house.  It was really only neat to me and Tom since the kids are too young to care.  Morgan will remember a few things, but for the most part it was for us.

We decided to drive through Milford to get to the freeway and on the way there we stopped at Sunstone Knoll where Tom and Morgan looked for sunstones and I fed Sophie.

We stopped in Milford to eat sandwiches at the caboose.

When we got to St. George we checked into our flee-bag motel (fire ants, really) and got out of there just in time to go see the Dinosaur footprints for 30 minutes -- the perfect amount of time with kids.

Then we went to see the temple.  (Morgan loves holding Sophie.)

After a night in our motel we 1) decided we are too snobby to stay in that kind of motel again, and 2) packed our things and went for a short hike until we realized it was way too hot to be hiking.

So we continued on...
