3 Years Old!

Morgan is officially 3 years old as of yesterday.  We had an interesting day.  She was sick with two viruses, one stomach and one respiratory.  We took her to the doctor and she peed on the floor right when he walked in.  Then we found out there was nothing we could give her to help so we went home.  She felt better by then so we gave her the option of playing at the park or going on a short hike to a bridge over a creek.  She chose the hike and we had a lot of fun.  We postponed her party until Saturday and we didn't give her her big presents because we were too tired to put them together (Tom has jet lag from spending two weeks in China and I am pregnant and just tired all the time).

This morning Morgan and I walked to the community farm to see the chickens.  Really it was a trick to get some pictures of her.  I kind of suck at taking pictures.  Pretty sure I need a new professional camera.  Hint, hint, Tom.

Morganisms

Morgan is going to be 3 next week and I can't believe it!  She is such a fun little girl (as long as it is after noon -- she's not a morning person at all).  I wanted to write some things about her in this post.

She has been potty training for two and a half weeks and she is doing well.  When we stay at home she is usually 100%.  When we go out... not so much.  She loves her Hello Kitty panties more than the Tinkerbell ones.  But that means that she's pooped in them more, and I just throw away poopie panties so the kitties are dwindling.

She loves when I pull my hair back.  If I have my hair in a ponytail when she wakes up that is usually the first thing notices and she'll say, "you pulled your hair back?"  Sometimes she won't go pee pee in the potty until I pull my hair back.  I laugh every time.

Tom went to China for work and she told him she wanted "Chinese candy."  I don't know how she knew how to say Chinese instead of China.  Observant, I guess.

She loves The Wonder Pets and gets super concerned during the episode where they get stuck in the whale's belly, then relieved when they are saved.

She gives the best hugs and kisses and asks me all the time if she can bite my lip.  Haha!

She is hit or miss with getting along with other kids.  When she decides she wants to, she is the one to give them hugs or ask them to hold her hand.

She absolutely loves lipstick, lip gloss, and chap stick.  Any time she sees me putting it on she asks if she can, and I always let her.  She's actually pretty good at it.

I'm really not sure what her favorite food is because one day she'll eat something and the next she won't touch it.  But she will eat blueberries almost any time I buy them.  And popcorn.

Lately she has been scared of the dark and monsters.  She usually ends up in our room on her little "princess bed" on our floor.

One day she ran almost 1/2 mile with me.  I think she's going to be a little runner.  I'm so proud!

She doesn't like me to read to her very often.  She would rather "read" the books by herself.

She has three stuffed lambs and four doggies that she loves.  Her favorite is the lamb she's had the longest.  I bought two more just in case.  The one she loves the most is "mommy wamb."  The others are "other one wambs."  Her doggies are "baby doggie," "big doggie," "daddy doggie," and "Chloe."  Hahaha!

She loves swimming and I think we will get her some lessons this summer.  She also loves doll houses.  We got her one for her birthday.  I can't wait to give it to her!

I love this girl so much.  I miss her when I'm not with her (except when I need me time).  I am so lucky to be her mommy!

Baby Update

I have great news.  Today I had another ultrasound to check on the babies.  They BOTH had very healthy heart rates around 180!  And apparently there was something "wrong" with baby b's yolk sack last time (which I didn't know about or I would have been freaking out even more than I was) but everything looked perfect today and the doctor was very encouraged.  He said, "it's an answer to your prayers."  He was right.  And I know a lot of you prayed for us and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Obviously it's still early (9 weeks), but things are looking great!

Big Rich News

I honestly think anything in life can relate to a Friends episode... so remember that Friends episode when Monica and Chandler go to the hospital to get their baby and it turns out to be twins?  Remember how the birth mother says, "they talked about two heartbeats, I just thought they were talking about mine and the baby's," (or something like that)?

Well, to preface the rest of this, after a long time of trying and finally a low dose of Clomid, we are going to have another baby!  Yay!  I'm seven weeks along.  I know it is super early to tell everyone, but if something happens I would probably blog about it anyway so I'm just going to let the cat out of the bag.

We went in for our first ultrasound today to make sure there was a heartbeat.  There was.  In fact, there were two heartbeats and that DOESN'T include mine!

(not my ultrasound picture, but similar)

I don't feel great physically.  I would rather lie in bed all day than do anything, hence the reason I have not posted anything on my blog or done any projects in forever.

Baby A's heart rate was normal at 132bpm but Baby B's heart rate was low at 109bpm.  The doctor said there is an 85% chance that they will both make it to 12 weeks but he is a little worried about baby B, which obviously makes me nervous.  There is nothing I can do though so we'll wait and go back to check on them in a week and a half.

So there it is.  Our big news.  Thanks to everyone who sent fertility vibes and prayers our way.  Now if the babies could get some of those prayers I would really appreciate it!  Thank you!
